Trump Turns Press Briefing At G7 Summit Into A “Commercial” For His Resort

What a tool?

Trump has spent pretty much the entire G7 Summit sending out angry tweets and rambling nonsensically about the weather while somehow managing to avoid any sort of legitimate topics such as the fires raging through the Amazon as we speak or the multiple meetings that were held on climate change, which Trump evidently didn’t find necessary to attend.

He only seemed to have time to be butthurt over the media reporting “fake news” about him — which translates to some news outlet publishing a true story that Trump doesn’t want anyone to read because it exposes him as an idiot yet again — and pout like a 2-year-old because his best buddy Putin wasn’t kicking it with him. I mean, in his defense, he does owe his presidency to the guy. I can see where he’d want to keep him in good graces.

But even in the midst of all the pouting and the high-heeled foot-stomping and the talks of the weather Trump also found some time to squeeze in a little PR for his personal business.

This year’s G7 Summit was hosted by President Emmanuel Macron in Biarritz, France, but it’s Donnie’s turn next year. And he damn sure doesn’t want to miss out on the chance to make a dime off of it. So, of course, he intends to hold the meeting at, you guessed it, his very own failing golf course!

The Washington Post reported, “President Trump said Monday he was likely to hold next year’s Group of Seven summit in Doral, Fla., at his resort, meaning he would personally profit from one of the world’s most prestigious gatherings of foreign leaders.”

During a sit down with reporters today, Trump took the opportunity to have himself a little impromptu commercial for his property.

“They love the location of the hotel,” Trump stated in regards to it’s proximity to the airport. “We haven’t found anything that’s even close to competing with it. Really you can be there in a matter of minutes after you land.”

“People are really liking it.”

Donald “went on to give a long commercial of sorts for the property, hailing its acres, separate buildings for different delegations and ‘great’ conference rooms.”

It’s worth noting that Trump would not only stand to rake in millions in revenue should the event be held at his property but also gets the fame of holding such a notable Summit at his business.
