Donald Trump has been fueling the flames of a feud with four Congresswomen of color, dubbed “the Squad,” for quite some time now.
This particular fight goes back weeks now after Trump instigated the mess with a tweet calling for them to “go back where they came from” due to the fact that the women dared to actually challenge his ridiculous and downright cruel behavior, rhetoric, and policies.
And, of course, Donald can never quite leave well enough alone — he has to ensure that everyone, everywhere knows that he’s still mad at them.
Today, he did so by retweeting a now-deleted tweet from conservative personality Terrence Williams, featuring a video of Ilhan Omar, one of the four “Squad” members, dancing her heart out to a Lizzo song. In his tweet, Williams attempted to claim that the footage was from the recent anniversary of 9/11 and it depicted Omar “partying” because she’s happy about the tragedy.
While the original tweet was deleted from Twitter by Williams himself, who has refused to return any requests for comments, dirty deleting does not delete screenshots. And thanks to one badass editor, we got em’:
Before Williams removed his tweet from the social media platform, Trump himself retweeted the video as well as Williams’ caption with a caption of his own reading: “IIhan Omar, a member of AOC Plus 3, will win us the Great State of Minnesota. The new face of the Democrat Party!”

Now here’s the thing, folks. Omar was not “partying” over the anniversary of 9/11. In fact, the video in question didn’t take place on 9/11 at all. It’s footage from the 13th of September when Ilhan attended a reception for the Congressional Black Caucus annual legislative conference and danced to the empowering artist’s song with her friends:

While it’s certainly not unusual from Donald Trump to launch smear campaigns against anyone and everyone that he’s arbitrarily deemed worthy of his shit list, it is safe to say that Omar herself is absolutely fucking finished with his bullshit.
The Congresswoman quickly took to her own Twitter account to respond to the president’s baseless, immature, and dangerous attack against her. Writing, “This is from a CBC event we hosted this weekend to celebrate black women in Congress. The President of the United States is continuing to spread lies that put my life at risk. What is Twitter doing to combat this misinformation?”

When will this man ever actually be held accountable for literally putting lives at risk? When will enough be enough?
