While the Trump family tried really hard to present a united front from their position in the White House, the skeletons in their closet oftentimes slip through the cracks of their facade.

Over the past two and a half years or so that Trump has managed to infest the White House as the undeserving president of these United States, a lot of troubles within the corrupt family have found their way into the spotlight — Donald himself has had grief with all of his kids over the years, finding issues with Don Jr.’s Fox News appearances, Ivanka and her husband’s personal email and WhatsApp scandal, a severe jealousy of his youngest son’s height, an aversion to his youngest daughter’s weight, and there have even been some unconfirmed social media reports indicating that Melania and Barron don’t even live in the White House anymore.

But according to former Trump family insider Vicky Ward’s new tell-all book, Kushner, Inc.: Greed. Ambition. Corruption, the Trump family beef is not limited to Donnie and his kids.

Evidently, first lady Melania and first daughter Ivanka Trump had a bit of a falling out when Donnie first nabbed the presidency over some coveted office space.

During an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Ward laid out a few juicy details about the Trump family, including Donald’s “ambivalence” towards Jared and Ivanka’s positions within the White House as well as Melania and Ivanka’s tumble over some office space.

“Who is there to say ‘no’ to these people?” Colbert questioned the author.

“So here’s an interesting suggestion: Melania Trump… is the only person in my book who has ever successfully stood up to Ivanka Trump and won,” Ward began. “I have a scene [during the transition in which] Ivanka Trump has told the world that she’s not going to be joining the White House. Absolute rubbish. Behind the scenes [she was] making all the plans. [She actually had] a ‘Trump family office’ drawn up for the East Wing, which is normally the territory of the First Lady. When Melania Trump heard about this, she put a very quick end to Ivanka’s plans.”

To which Colbert quipped in reply, “So, all our hope rests on Melania Trump.”

Melania once said of Trump’s children, “They are grown-up. I don’t see myself as their mother. I am their friend, and I’m here when they need me.” But I guess that doesn’t apply to office space.
