The walls are closing in on Donald Trump and no one on his team is safe. Thanks to the bombshells that have been revealed about the polling data Paul Manafort shared with alleged Russian spy Konstantin Kilimnik, Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s had someone else put on his hit list — Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway.
Many people have weighed in on what’s going on in the Special Counsel’s case — and a very notable explanation of why Conway may be next was made by advertising and communications expert David Measer.

In a massive Twitter thread, the senior vice president at the RPA agency who is also a professor at the University of Southern California explained that “[a]t the heart of any campaign, big or small, is data. Data about the market, people, the competition. In politics, this is called ‘polling.’ Same thing.”
Like politics, the goal of advertising is persuasion. And like politics, we call our efforts a campaign.

Measer also stated that data is critical for any campaign that involves so much time and money — especially one that is targeted to voters to influence the outcome of an election.

Measer stated, “Sharing polling data with anyone is opening a door to collaborate with them.”

And things got far worse for Trump, as Measer continued to demonstrate that, “[s]haring polling data means you’re working together. Conspiring. Making decisions together. Working to destroy the competition.”

After several tweets of explaining just how badly the Trump campaign was screwed in Mueller’s investigation, Measer pointed out how Conway came into this, as she had been in a position to know how specific voters were being targeted. Measer explained:

Conway was unscathed in Trump’s Russia probe, but it seems like her time may be up soon if Measer is correct.
