Donald Trump made a BIG mistake by allowing his family members to be involved in his administration, because now that he’s going down they are all going with him.
Recently, Trump’s beloved daughter and her husband Jared Kushner came under fire for violating protocol regarding official government emails and electronic communications. Not only did the pair fail to maintain proper records of these communications, which was a violation of the Presidential Records Act, but the couple used WhatsApp for official correspondence. Seriously, this is real life.
And of course it gets worse. In an interview with CNN’s Erin Burnett, a Democratic House Judiciary Committee member attacked Kushner for this major WhatsApp fail, and stated that it could all be tied back to the time Kushner tried to set up a secretive way of communicating with the Kremlin after Trump won the 2016 election.
Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI) stated that the latest news should raise even more suspicion considering Kushner’s past. He said:
This is very likely a violation of the Presidential Records Act. We should remember Jared Kushner was alleged to have attempted to set up a back-channel communications with the Russians during the transition, if you remember that reporting.
Both Jared and Ivanka [Trump] were denied — or serious questions were raised — by intelligence and law enforcement about their security clearance. The president overruled those objections and directed they be given and then lied about it.
This is very concerning — not only is it potentially a violation of the Records Act but also raises questions what is he communicating about, and why does it need to be kept a secret?” he continued. “What are these communications about, and why is he concerned they not be shared in normal communication channels? The Oversight Committee has to figure out what’s going on and make sure this practice ends and make sure the national security of the united states has not been compromised in this process.”
This was brilliant because no one should be able to forget just how shady Trump’s little helpers are. Trump and his family have always been corrupt and will always be this way. You can watch the interview below here:
