Delusional Trump Now Demanding “US Military Chiefs Stand Next To Him” At 4th Of July Parade

This is getting out of hand.

Donald Trump’s impending Fourth of July fiasco just keeps getting more and more ridiculous with each passing day. The man already intends to block off a large portion of the Lincoln Memorial during his party as a “VIP” zone for his closest friends and family. He’s set to completely ruin the view of DC’s spectacular fireworks display for thousands of locals and tourists alike due to his celebration forcing the traditional display to move locations. And he’s demanded that military tanks and fighter jets be present, despite the cost and damages it could incur. But if all of that didn’t have you convinced that this Fourth of July “celebration” is just a political rally in disguise, try this on for size.

Donald Trump is now demanding that the chiefs of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines stand by his side during his special Fourth of July shindig.

The New York Times reports that Donald is requesting the military chiefs to flank his side as an aircraft from each of their branches fly overhead.

It’s impossible to ignore the fact that Donald wants to feel and appear as powerful as possible during this display — his desired actions terrifyingly reminiscent of military forces being paraded through the streets of authoritarian regimes like North Korea, Iran, and China.

“We’re going to have a great Fourth of July in Washington, DC. It’ll be like no other,” Trump said of his dictator-esque event. “It’ll be special and I hope a lot of people come. And it’s going to be about this country and it’s a salute to America.”

“I’m going to say a few words and we’re going to have planes going overhead, the best fighter jets in the world and other planes too,” he stated.

The Council of DC took to Twitter to express its objection to the event saying, “We have said it before, and we’ll say it again: Tanks, but no tanks.”

Let’s just hope VoteVets makes quite the splash with those John McCain t-shirts.
