Earlier today, Michael Cohen captivated America with his testimony. Whether you are a Trump supporter or a Trump critic, it was hard not to hear about the testimony of the president’s longtime personal attorney as their relationship disintegrated before our very eyes.
During his testimony, Cohen exposed Trump for so many of his crimes and misdeeds, it was hard to keep track. Cohen called Trump a “racist” and a “cheat” while shedding light on the president’s dealings with Russia and his extramarital affairs. But one of the most stunning parts of this testimony was Cohen’s closing statements, where he criticized the president for attacking law enforcement, the media, and for being terribly disrespectful to veterans.
In this closing statement was also a very strong warning, where Cohen stated that based on his experience with the president, there would be no going quietly for Trump if he lost the 2020 election. Here’s what Cohen said:
I did things and I acted improperly at times on Mr. Trump’s behest. I blindly followed his demands. My loyalty to him cost me everything. My family’s happiness friendships, my law license, my company, my livelihood, my reputation and soon my freedom. And I will not sit back and say nothing and allow him to do the same to the country. Indeed given my experience working for Mr. Trump, I fear if he loses the election in 2020 that there will never be a peaceful transition of power.”

This is terrifying, but it’s probably true. Trump, with his mental instability, believes he’s untouchable now – and this could become a major problem once America tries to dethrone him.
