Trump Celebrates Halloween With Terrifying Racist Tweets Just Hours After Visiting Pittsburgh Victims

Now THIS is SCARY.

America can always count on Donald Trump to ruin any holiday or celebration, no matter what it is.

On Halloween, the scariest president this country has ever had unleashed a pair of extremely irresponsible, damaging tweets not even 24 hours after he visited Pittsburgh out of “respect” for the victims of a synagogue shooting. If Trump truly respected those who have been victims of hate crimes throughout his presidency, he would be turning down his hateful, divisive rhetoric — but the president has since told reporters that he only intends to “tone it up.”

And that’s why Trump’s behavior this morning makes perfect sense. Pretending to be completely oblivious that his hate speech is what inspired the Pittsburgh shooter to begin with, Trump was at it again spreading his fear-mongering, racist lies about the “caravan” that he’s been telling his supporters is filled with terrorists. Trump tweeted:

Loading...

The Caravans are made up of some very tough fighters and people. Fought back hard and viciously against Mexico at Northern Border before breaking through. Mexican soldiers hurt, were unable, or unwilling to stop Caravan. Should stop them before they reach our Border, but won’t!

Our military is being mobilized at the Southern Border. Many more troops coming. We will NOT let these Caravans, which are also made up of some very bad thugs and gang members, into the U.S. Our Border is sacred, must come in legally. TURN AROUND!”

It was proven that the Pittsburgh synagogue shooter was tuned into the president’s tweets and listening to Trump’s talks about the caravan, referring to the mass of migrants as “invaders.” And yet Trump still thinks it’s a good idea to tweet this?

Trump’s ignoring the link between his hate speech and similar attacks on groups of people on purpose. His lies about the caravan have been debunked several times. What Trump is doing is dangerous and needs to be stopped.
