Recently Vice President Mike Pence was scheduled to attend a round table in New Hampshire on the current opioid crisis in our country. However, he bailed at the very last minute and still, no one knows why.
His spokeswoman Alyssa Farah offered a generic excuse on Twitter, claiming that something “came up that required the @VP to remain in Washington, DC. It’s no cause for alarm. He looks forward to rescheduling the trip to New Hampshire very soon.”

She then went on in a second tweet to claim that there was no “emergency callback” to the White House, that Pence never even left DC — despite the fact that a representative from the VP’s office, Randy Gentry literally said “There’s been an emergency callback. The vice president was asked to return to Washington, so at this time we’re going to cancel today’s event.”
To say the least, the entire situation has been extremely mysterious and confusing, and Donald himself just added to that recently when he was questioned by reporters about the abrupt cancellation and he cryptically replied with “You’ll know in about two weeks. It was a very interesting problem that they had in New Hampshire. I can’t tell you about it.” If you ask me, he just likes to be able to say he has a secret that you can’t know about. It makes him feel special. But I digress.
We still don’t know what kept Mike Pence at the White House that day. However, thanks to Salem Deputy Police Chief Joel Dolan in New Hampshire we now know, as we suspected, that Trump was most definitely pumping up the situation with false information, most likely in a childish attempt to make it sound more exciting.
Dolan explained to the Washington Post that had there actually been any security concerns surrounding the VP in New Hampshire “we would have known about it.”
Essentially, Donald Trump has been busted telling a big, fat lie once again and the local police in Salem, New Hampshire are calling him out on it.
