Donald Trump’s administration has seen more people come in and out of it than your average bar on a Friday night. Every time you turn around, someone is leaving or being fired. It seems like half of the positions in his administration aren’t even filled and the other half is being held by “acting” officials. And each and every individual that’s ever been associated with the Trump White House can certainly kiss the rest of their career goodbye.
One of the recent individuals to be on their way out of the Trump administration and on the fast track to the local fast food joint is White House lawyer Emmet Flood.
Flood served as special counsel to the president after a period of time as White House counsel and Trump took to Twitter today to announce that Emmet would be leaving the administration in two weeks time.
“Emmet Flood, who came to the White House to help me with the Mueller Report, will be leaving service on June 14th,” Trump announced on Twitter.
“He has done an outstanding job – no collusion, no obstruction,” because of course, he’s still harping on that even though Special Counsel Robert Mueller has made it clear that Trump should be indicted by Congress. And followed up with a “case closed” despite the fact that multiple entities, including the Southern District of New York, still have open investigations into Donald and his family.
Emmet Flood, who came to the White House to help me with the Mueller Report, will be leaving service on June 14th. He has done an outstanding job – NO COLLUSION – NO OBSTRUCTION! Case Closed! Emmet is my friend, and I thank him for the GREAT JOB he has done.

“Emmet is my friend, and I thank him for the great job he has done,” Donald ended his tweet.
Flood’s departure has been expected since the release of the Mueller report, according to officials familiar with the matter and there’s a good chance that it’s a good thing, considering that he’s leaving, yet Donald Trump is still happy with his performance.
Considering Donald Trump is the opposite of ethical in every way imaginable, it’s safe to say that Flood riddled the White House with plenty of ethics violations himself if Trump is sad to see him go.
