After New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft was busted as part of an anti-prostitution and human trafficking sting that took place in Jupiter, Florida, the internet was ablaze with more than just jokes about happy endings and “taking a knee.” According to some sources, Kraft’s name was reportedly not the biggest, highest-profile one on the list of clients at the massage parlor, but WPTV’s Merris Badcock posted a list and we’re not sure we recognize any others just yet:

Kraft, of course, denied the charges — although the local police chief assured the media that everyone on that list is actually on video committing the crime of solicitation.
And none other than Kraft’s close, personal friend Donald Trump was even on hand yesterday to remind the public that Kraft was innocent until proven guilty. But we couldn’t help but wonder — why is Trump so eager to automatically defend people accused of sex-related crimes? And we don’t just mean the obvious (that’s he’s also probably guilty of multiple sex-related crimes). Why would he specifically comment on this case, even after police noted that everyone charged was caught on film?
An old tweet of the President’s might explain a little bit of it:
Where serenity meets luxury: Trump Nat’l Jupiter’s Spa offers treatments which help restore youthful vitality http://t.co/7Pp2Mx0h6x
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 10, 2014
That, of course, is not the “Orchids of Asia Day Spa” in Jupiter — but it’s pretty close by, and not difficult to imagine Trump engaging in something similar. After all, many of his hotels and golf courses have now been proven to be largely staffed by undocumented immigrants, and back in 2017, Trump did significantly expand his holdings in China, adding 38 new trademarks for “spas, escort services, hotels, and massage parlours.” So we, uh, know he’s into that stuff.
New responses to the old tweet were predictably hilarious:

I can’t wait till someone finds his 2012 tweet about how much he loved the R. Kelly concert.

We don’t have any proof, of course, that Trump is involved in any way. But once again Twitter proves that there really is an old tweet of Trump’s for every occasion.
