Everyone is likely aware of the fact that Vice President Mike Pence was recently scheduled to attend a roundtable on the opioid crisis in New Hampshire but canceled at the last moment to stay in DC for reasons still unknown.
His spokeswoman Alyssa Farah took to Twitter to offer a mysterious excuse stating, “Something came up that required the @VP to remain in Washington, DC. It’s no cause for alarm. He looks forward to rescheduling the trip to New Hampshire very soon.”

She soon added another tweet explaining that there was no “emergency callback” and the vice president never even left Washington. According to the White House, Pence’s plane never even left the ground.
The @VP never left Washington, DC. There was no “emergency callback.” Something came up that required the VP to stay in DC. We’ll reschedule NH shortly. https://t.co/h270JCEUIG

However, a representative from the VP’s office, Randy Gentry stated “There’s been an emergency callback. The vice president was asked to return to Washington, so at this time we’re going to cancel today’s event.”
To say the least, there’s been a lot of confusion surrounding the vice president’s abrupt decision to stay in DC, and Donald simply added to that perplexity when he recently offered up an equally cryptic answer to questions concerning the bizarre happenings.
“You’ll know in about two weeks. It was a very interesting problem that they had in New Hampshire. I can’t tell you about it,” the president obscurely answered when asked why Pence’s trip was canceled so suddenly. “It had nothing to do with the White House. There was a problem up there and I won’t go into what the problem was, but you’ll see in about a week or two.”
There’s honestly no telling what kept Pence at the White House that day. But knowing the creepy relationship he shares with Donald, I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump’s hair wouldn’t sit right that morning and he needed Mike to stick around and man the hairspray can.
