Donald Trump has been absolutely unhinged today as the president doubles down on his racism and birthright citizenship executive order — and he’s attacking members of his own party publicly to get his point across.
Recently, Trump announced that he’d like to end birthright citizenship (which is protected by the 14th Amendment) with an executive order, which prompted loads of criticism. It was such a disaster that Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, who is usually as spineless as they come, had to actually stand up to the president and say this in an interview:
Well, you obviously cannot do that. You cannot end birthright citizenship with an executive order. We didn’t like it when Obama tried changing immigration laws via executive action, and obviously as conservatives we believe in the Constitution.”
This made Trump furious beyond belief and the president returned fire today, calling Ryan out on Twitter, stating that he should focus on his job instead of criticizing the almighty president. Trump whined:
Paul Ryan should be focusing on holding the Majority rather than giving his opinions on Birthright Citizenship, something he knows nothing about! Our new Republican Majority will work on this, Closing the Immigration Loopholes and Securing our Border!”

Once again, Trump’s immaturity couldn’t have hit at a worse time for the Republican Party as Americans were reminded once again that the GOP is in shambles and can barely do their jobs thanks to Trump and flawed leadership. Republicans are going to deeply regret putting Trump in the White House — and attacks like this are exactly why.
