Donald Trump truly can’t take any sort of criticism, even when it’s over something minor and 100 percent true. Recently, the president screwed up during a meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook, butchering the CEO’s name – and then the president tried to pretend like he meant to do it.
Trump has never been one to make an effort to get people’s names right – there have been multiple speeches and events where the president mispronounced, butchered, or even misnamed people. But Tim Cook isn’t exactly a hard name to memorize or say – and still, the president just couldn’t get it right. The media reported the slip, and that was just too much for The Donald. Earlier this morning, Trump kicked off the week with yet another freakout and an insane tweet about how he “meant” to mess up Cook’s name. Check out how crazy this is:
At a recent round table meeting of business executives, & long after formally introducing Tim Cook of Apple, I quickly referred to Tim + Apple as Tim/Apple as an easy way to save time & words. The Fake News was disparagingly all over this, & it became yet another bad Trump story!”

Trump is clearly humiliated by the jokes and mockery his name flub gathered over the past few days since the “business leaders” meeting, but it’s his own fault. And to make matters worse, Cook is actually going along with it and has embraced the new name on his Twitter account!
