Donald Trump’s mental instability is actually getting really scary — even though it seems as if that isn’t even possible. We’re now at a point where the president is so “out there” and deranged that this country seems almost doomed, as we recently saw from Trump’s most recent interview.
President Donald Trump sat down with The Washington Post and the president spoke about several different topics, one of which included his frustration with Fed Chair Jerome Powell. In a rare but notable move, The Donald actually admitted that he’d been wrong and that his judgment sucked. Trump whined:
I’m not even a little bit happy with my selection of Jay. Not even a little bit.”
However, shortly after trashing his own judgment, the president said something really strange as he complained about how he wasn’t being treated like a dictator and having all of his ridiculous demands “accommodated.” The Post reported:
He argued that rising interest rates and other Fed policies were damaging the economy — including GM’s announcement this week that it was laying off 15 percent of its workforce — though he insisted that he is not worried about a recession.”
Then, Trump said this, issuing a terrifying statement about how his “gut tells me more sometimes than anybody else’s brain can ever tell me”:
I’m doing deals and I’m not being accommodated by the Fed. They’re making a mistake because I have a gut and my gut tells me more sometimes than anybody else’s brain can ever tell me.”
The terrifying thing about this is that Trump really believes what he said. He really believes that his “gut” is better poised to make decisions than experts and people who have far more political experience. It’s amazing that Trump can say this when his presidency has been nothing but a two-year failure.
The president needs to be examined, and the GOP needs to stop ignoring the fact that Trump isn’t fit to lead. Trump has never been more removed from reality, and he’s in way over his head.
