Trump Freaks Out Over Spike Lee’s Anti-Trump Oscars Speech, Accuses Director Of Racism

Trump is having a meltdown over this.

Donald Trump absolutely hates seeing African Americans succeed, especially when they are succeeding while trashing him.

Last night, Oscar winner Spike Lee made a powerful speech while accepting an award for the film BlacKkKlansman, which won best adapting screenplay. And as the audience gave him a standing ovation, Lee took the opportunity to send an important message for the upcoming presidential election. Knowing all eyes were on him, Lee used his moment to mobilize America. He said:

The 2020 presidential election is around the corner. Let’s all mobilize. Let’s all be on the right side of history. Make the moral choice between love versus hate. Let’s do the right thing! You know I had to get that in there.”

That was all too much for Trump. This morning, the president was throwing a fit on Twitter and accusing Lee of doing a “racist hit on your president.” Apparently, to Trump, racism is what happens when someone who’s a different color than you says a thing you don’t like — because there’s certainly nothing racist about what Spike said.

And like the true child he is, Trump even made fun of Lee for reading off his notes during his acceptance speech (which is something Trump should honestly do more of). Trump also made an infuriating remark about how he’d done more for African Americans than “almost any other pres!” Trump whined:

Be nice if Spike Lee could read his notes, or better yet not have to use notes at all, when doing his racist hit on your President, who has done more for African Americans (Criminal Justice Reform, Lowest Unemployment numbers in History, Tax Cuts, etc.) than almost any other Pres!”

Lee has obviously gotten under Trump’s skin, as the president cannot stand to see America support someone who is taking a stance against him — and get a standing ovation for it. Expect Trump to sulk all day about this!
