By now, there should be no question that Donald Trump is an absolute sociopath who has no compassion or care for anyone other than himself. But after what the president tweeted today about children who die at the border, Trump has reached an entirely new level of repulsiveness.
So far, two children have died while in U.S. custody at the border, and instead of offering sympathy and mourning the lives of 7-year-old Jakelin Caal and 8-year-old Felipe Gomez Alonzo, Trump instead decided to be an insensitive asshole, as usual.
While most presidents would be doing all they could rectify the situation, comfort the families, and try to ensure that this doesn’t happen again, Trump instead is blaming the whole thing on Democrats as he hides behind his phone. And while Democrats are calling for investigations into the deaths of those children, Trump had this to say:
Any deaths of children or others at the Border are strictly the fault of the Democrats and their pathetic immigration policies that allow people to make the long trek thinking they can enter our country illegally. They can’t. If we had a Wall, they wouldn’t even try! The two…..

…children in question were very sick before they were given over to Border Patrol. The father of the young girl said it was not their fault, he hadn’t given her water in days. Border Patrol needs the Wall and it will all end. They are working so hard & getting so little credit!

This is purely revolting. It should be noted that as we speak, Trump’s DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen is in the middle of a border trip. The president truly has no empathy and is unable to take a position of leadership when it is needed. Trump supporters should be ashamed of the monster they’ve elected.
