Donald Trump hasn’t had a single NBA championship team visit the White House since his fat ass has been darkening its doorframes. Of course, thus far, the Golden State Warriors have been the only ones to take home the NBA championship since Donald has been president. And in case you hadn’t heard, Trump doesn’t like them much — he rescinded his offer of a White House visit to the NBA team after Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and several others refused to show up because Trump is a racist dickbag.
Now that the Warriors’ winning streak has come to an end, Donald may have been excited at another chance. Perhaps the new champions would love him for his hateful ways. But… No such luck. This year’s NBA champions, the Toronto Raptors, won’t even be giving Donnie a chance to take back his offer, as they’ve already given him a good, hard hell no from the get-go.
Trump was recently questioned by a Toronto Star reporter whether or not he would be inviting the championship winning team to the White House. To which he replied, “Well, we thought about that. That’s an interesting question. They played phenomenal basketball. I watched a little bit of it. They were really terrific. Congratulations, by the way. That was a great job by a great team. So we’ll think about that. If they’d like to do it, we’ll think about that.”
However, during an interview with Yahoo’s “Inside The Green Room,” Raptors star forward Danny Green made it clear that they have no interest in his invitation:
I just don’t think that we accept. And I try to respect everybody in every field that they do regardless of how crazy things are. But he makes it really hard. He makes it very, very tough to respect how he goes about things and does things. To put it politely, I think it’s a hard no.”
To make Trump just a tad pissier than he surely already is, the winning team has accepted an invitation from Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. We feel certain that Trump will be crying over his Twitter account very shortly.
