Things have been a bit troublesome between Donald Trump and his right-hand minion Mike Pence lately. According to several different reports, rumors have been swirling about Pence replacement for Trump’s upcoming 2020 reelection campaign — which some sources are indicating originated from Trump’s daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner.
And most recently, it seems that Donald has been quite butthurt at his running mate after Pence polled higher among Americans than he did — resulting in Trump subjecting Pence to “loyalty tests” which many believe could explain why the Vice President stayed at a Trump resort on his recent trip to Ireland, despite the fact that it was 200 or so miles away from where he needed to be and he knew damn good and well it would cause a lot of controversies.
But according to a new book about the Vice President, “Piety & Power: Mike Pence and the Taking of the White House” by journalist Tom LoBianco, things haven’t been all peachy keen between the pair since the very get-go.
LoBianco writes in his book, set to be published this month, that thanks to Trump’s 2016 victory, Pence was forced to forgo a 2020 GOP nomination for himself and instead spend the next four years cleaning up after all of Donald’s messes.
And evidently, Trump’s presidential win rubbed Pence’s wife Karen the wrong way, as well.
Karen allegedly rebuffed Mike’s attempts at a celebratory kiss on election night and then lost her shit during a Secret Service briefing the next day, reportedly screaming at her husband “What are we going to do Mike?? We don’t have any money! Who’s going to pay for my inaugural gown??” as the couple was in a precarious position financially.
According to reports, Donald redirected inauguration funds to pay for updates to the second family’s home as well as purchasing a gown and alterations for Karen.
For someone that portrays himself as such a die-hard Trump sycophant, it seems that Pence may not be as loyal to this fuckwit president as he reflects on the surface.
