America is looking to its president and the White House to provide some kind of reassurance and comfort following the terrifying bomb attacks that were sent to specific Democrats and Trump critics — but everything that comes out of the Trump administration is terrifying right now.
After the president failed to give America a decent response, he sent his mouthpiece, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, out to do his dirty work and defend him. In an interview this morning with Fox & Friends, Sanders said Trump “could not have been more presidential” and denied that Trump was responsible for the violent political environment and division he created. She said:
Let’s not get lost in who is responsible for this heinous act. It is the person who made and sent these suspicious packages.
The president is certainly not responsible for sending suspicious packages to someone, no more than Bernie Sanders was responsible for a supporter of his shooting up a Republican baseball field practice last year.”
You can watch some of Sanders’ disgusting comments below:
Seriously, how can Sanders defend Trump? Just this morning, he was back to blasting the media and creating even more fear-mongering nonsense amongst his unhinged fan base. This is what Trump tweeted this morning:
A very big part of the Anger we see today in our society is caused by the purposely false and inaccurate reporting of the Mainstream Media that I refer to as Fake News. It has gotten so bad and hateful that it is beyond description. Mainstream Media must clean up its act, FAST!”

This is exactly why CNN was targeted in the bomb attacks, and we all know Trump is responsible even if he and his minions won’t admit it. Politicians, both Republican and Democrat, are now calling on Trump to stop this behavior, but he continues to perpetuate more violence. Former CIA Director John Brennan, who was targeted in the bomb attacks, summed up America’s thoughts perfectly:
Stop blaming others. Look in the mirror. Your inflammatory rhetoric, insults, lies, & encouragement of physical violence are disgraceful. Clean up your act….try to act Presidential. The American people deserve much better. BTW, your critics will not be intimidated into silence. https://t.co/cS5qNiuU7o
