Now that Democrats have dominated Republicans in the House of Representatives in the midterm election, Donald Trump is terrified about what this means for the future of his presidency now that he can no longer count on a Republican-filled Congress to protect him. Already, there have been talks about investigations ramping up, and some of these without a doubt will include Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
As if Trump didn’t have enough to worry about now that Democrats are closing in on him, Mueller’s investigation had been taking a back seat until the midterms passed — but now it’s back to work. Bloomberg reports that with midterms over and done, the Special Counsel is probably going to start handing out indictments in the Russia investigation, as it is general procedure to not issue politically connected indictments 60 days before an election. Bloomberg wrote:
With the election over, Mueller will be back into action. His team will likely have more indictments to make.”
And clearly, the president is already nervous about this. Earlier today, Trump was seen on Twitter having a full meltdown about Mueller’s investigation, signaling that he knows the worst is yet to come. Trump tweeted:
According to NBC News, Voters Nationwide Disapprove of the so-called Mueller Investigation (46%) more than they Approve (41%). You mean they are finally beginning to understand what a disgusting Witch Hunt, led by 17 Angry Democrats, is all about!”

While House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has said that Democrats would not seek to impeach Trump even with House majority, but it’s uncertain if Mueller will influence Congress based on what his investigation discovers about the president.
