Donald Trump was far from the only one who got screwed when Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report dropped. We knew this report would expose the president and multiple members of his team, but many of us didn’t expect one particular administration member to become the center of attention: White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders.
Sanders has been exposed in the Mueller report for her blatant lies about former FBI Director James Comey, when she stated that members of the FBI had lost faith in him. Here’s what Mueller reported:
Sanders told this Office that her reference to hearing from ‘countless members of the FBI’ was a ‘slip of the tongue.’ She also recalled that her statement in a separate press interview that rank-and-file FBI agents had lost confidence in Comey was a comment she made ‘in the heat of the moment’ that was not based on anything.”
As a refresher, here’s Sanders in a press briefing, lying her ass off to the media and the American people:
The media (and America) is furious about this — and many members of the press are even calling for her resignation over this (as they should). Sanders has done America a great disservice with her lies and proven that we cannot trust anything that comes out of the Trump administration. Here are just some of the reactions:
Sarah Sanders admits in the Mueller report she lies to the press and the American people. She should resign today.

.@PressSec Sarah Sanders should resign immediately. Admitting you lie to the press from behind the White House podium is indefensible. https://t.co/4sC2rRYEXi

So many people should resign immediately. @PressSec first. https://t.co/oZKw9TIfwn

Sanders is getting grilled off Twitter as well. In an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, he tore her apart for calling a blatant lie a “slip of the tongue.” He said:
That’s not a slip of the tongue, Sarah, that’s a deliberate false statement.”
Stephanopoulos wasn’t tolerating any of her “defenses” and made Sanders extremely uncomfortable during this interview, and it showed. You can watch it below:
Pressed repeatedly on her comments on FBI agents, Sarah Sanders tells @GStephanopoulos, “It was the heat of the moment, meaning that it wasn’t a scripted talking point. I’m sorry that I wasn’t a robot like the Democratic Party” was about Mueller probe. https://t.co/mOQZNKl1wy pic.twitter.com/y3xcNwVYHg

CNN analyst April Ryan also ripped into Sanders, calling for her resignation. She said:
Not only does she not have credibility, she lied. She out and out lied. And the people — the American people can’t trust her. They can’t trust what’s said from the president’s mouthpiece, spokesperson from the people’s house. Therefore, she should be let go. She should be fired, end of story. When there is a lack of credibility there, you have to start and start lopping the heads off. It’s Fire-Me Thursday or Fire-Me Good Friday. She needs to go.”
Watch Ryan shred Sanders below:
Sanders is a major representation of the lies and corruption going on in the Trump administration. If she resigns, America will be better off. We can only hope that Trump is next.
