Donald Trump isn’t the only one on edge and under pressure to perform so that the Republican Party doesn’t become extinct in the midterm election.
White House counselor Kellyanne Conway stunned viewers earlier today on Fox News when she attacked Hillary Clinton on Fox & Friends, calling her “the queen of abortion.” Pretending that the GOP actually has a chance, Conway made these comments while explaining that Democrats weren’t making a big issue of abortion for the midterms because “they tried that for so long.” She said:
They tried it with the queen of abortion in 2016 and it backfired for them because so many women said, ‘Excuse me, you have to talk to me on all the issues.’
I think women in the suburbs, for all the talk about not liking tone, they know the difference between what offends them and what affects them.”
This is a segment you have to see to believe:
Yep, this happened: Kellyanne Conway calls Hillary Clinton “The Queen of Abortion,” which, as far as I know, outranks “Commander of Cheese.” pic.twitter.com/POHL2Es1W1

Like many Republicans, Conway is oblivious to the fact that many Americans support Roe v. Wade and a woman’s right to choose. Abortion is usually a heated topic during any election and will likely be one that influences the midterms, but a recent BuzzFeed News analysis has discovered that it’s difficult to gauge public opinion on it. Janine Beekman, an associate research scientist for research firm Ipsos, said:
I don’t think any polls out there accurately portray the way the US population thinks about abortion. Abortion, more so than almost any other issue, is incredibly difficult to poll on.”
But of course we can always count on Conway and Trump’s team to blow things out of proportion and demonize Democrats, even when the evidence isn’t there to support their statements.
