It’s always been a pretty safe bet that regular people who come in contact with Trumps — that is to say, folks from outside the world the Trumps live in who are made to interact with Donald or his kids — are going to come away with a dim view of the family. Sure, individually, each can be as charming as their dilettante training allows them to be, but as a whole the family is… what’s the word? Deplorable.
But at least for the last 3 years, all of the people who complain about members of the Trump clan have either been political foes or been accused of being political foes. That’s a handy excuse for being hated, it turns out — you just say that your detractors are from “the other side” and it explains why they hate you so much.
Even insider accounts have all seemed to come from former employees, former staffers, always someone with a metaphorical axe to grind.
Rossano Rubicondi is none of those things. He’s not a political adversary, he’s never worked for Donald, and he’s definitely not from inside the White House. He’s the Italian ex-husband and former paramour of Ivana Trump, Donald’s first wife and the mother of Don Junior, Ivanka, and Eric Trump.
He’s had an on-again, off-again relationship with Ivana for nearly two decades, dating for six years before marrying her in 2008, divorcing in 2009, then reuniting shortly after. The couple has finally split for good as of about a week ago, and although Rubicondi still has quite pleasant things to say about Ivana herself, he is clearly none too fond of her children with Donald.
Junior would have been an adult when Rossano met his mother, Ivanka very nearly one, and Eric a teen at the time, but he’s known each of them at least half their lives or more — these are people he knows better than almost anyone besides their actual parents. And what Rubicondi had to say about them was nothing short of scandalous.
Speaking to the New York Post‘s “Page Six,” Rubicondi said:
In regards for the rest of the family, I am not [a] big a fan of it. They have been rude to me. [A]gain and again, I hear of them speaking in terms [that] I don’t appreciate it. I don’t care who is your father or mother, you do not talk to me like that.”
“No one touched a dollar or dime from their family . . . I don’t know [if that’s what their issue with me is], but these people are all about money. They don’t have a heart. They are garbage.”
Rubicondi held absolutely nothing back as he elaborated on his feelings about the Trump kids:
Don Jr. is an idiot. He’s a jerk. Put it down: ‘You are a jerk.’ Put it in capital letters! They are nobody . . . They are disgusting. We are talking about kids who are so stupid, except Ivanka. They are a piece of scum. Before they say anything about me, I will wash their mouth out with soap! They are disgrace for human beings.”
Well! Tell us how you really feel, Rossano!
