It’s only Monday, but already Trump’s White House has thrown the country into a panic over mixed, confusing reports that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein was either being fired by Trump or resigning. This, of course, raised eyebrows everywhere about the future of the Russia probe and the president’s true motivations.
A Fox News segment reported on the suspiciously conflicting reports and stunned the audience when one of the hosts actually suggested that the reports had been planted by the Trump administration itself, in an effort to distract the public from the rape allegations against Trump’s Supreme Court Justice nominee, Brett Kavanaugh.
Fox News host Lisa Kennedy said:
He was here for a previously scheduled meeting, somebody blew the dog whistle. There’s a reason that all those cameras are trained on the White House right now and perhaps it’s because what is the one thing we are not talking about right now? We are waiting with baited breath to see what happens to Rod Rosenstein and to learn of his fate. We are not talking about judge Brett Kavanaugh.”
When another host tried to argue that it was an insane idea that the White House had created this sort of conspiracy, Kennedy fired back and reminded everyone that this would not be far-fetched at all for the Trump administration. She said:
I don’t think it’s conspiratorial. Just seeing how this White House has operated and how the press responds to what the White House is doing. In this White House, it always seems to thrive on chaos.”
It’s always a brilliant moment when Trump gets called out by Fox News, and it’s something we never get tired of seeing despite the fact that it’s happening more often than ever before. Even Trump’s fanbase is tired of the president’s antics, and Kennedy’s attack on Trump proves it. You can watch the footage below:
