President Trump is slated to head to London soon with his entire family in tow for a visit with the royal family. During his time there he will be meeting with both Prince Harry and Prince William.
A bit of controversy has already swirled between the families last year when it was rumored that former president and Trump’s worst enemy Barack Obama may be invited to the wedding as a personal friend of Harry’s. However, while Obama’s invite was up in the air, it was clear that Trump would not be receiving an invitation, which sparked several news articles surrounding the awkwardness of the situation and speculating whether Obama’s possible invite could be perceived as an international snub.
But a recently uncovered resurfaced interview from 1997 may make things even more awkward and uncomfortable when the president meets with Princess Diana’s children.
The Express recalled that just after “The People’s Princess” tragically lost her life, Trump declared in an interview with radio and TV personality Howard Stern that Princess Diana had been attracted to him and he could have “nailed” her if he wanted to.
Friends of the late princess diligently refuted Donald’s claims and said that Diana was actually concerned that the then reality tv star was “stalking her.”
During the interview, Stern asked Trump, “Why do people think it’s egotistical of you to say you could’ve gotten Lady Di? You could’ve gotten her, right? You could’ve nailed her.”
“I think I could have,” Trump replied. “She was actually really beautiful. I thought she was supermodel beautiful. She had times when she didn’t look great and she had times when she looked better than anyone in the world.”
Evidently, Trump’s ego made him quite blind to the fact that Princess Diana had never shown interest in overweight, orange colored, pompous pricks with tiny hands.
Trump has had difficulty with the royal family in the past, embarrassing himself and disrespecting the queen on his last visit by walking in front of Her Majesty and blocking her view. We can’t imagine Harry and William will be very eager to meet the tub of lard that stalked their mother and bragged about being able to “nail” her.
