Americans Disgusted After Republicans Plan To Sue Bar That Refused To Host Pro-Kavanaugh “Beers4Brett” Party

GOP snowflakes at it again.

In a moment of deep and terrible irony, Republicans in Seattle, Washington are attempting to use the progressive laws of the city against a favorite local bar after they were asked not to hold a political event in the location. Shultzy’s Bar and Grill, in the heart of Seattle’s University District, is at the center of complaints by College Republicans from the nearby University of Washington that they have been discriminated against on the basis of political beliefs.

After the nomination and confirmation of America’s second sexual predator to the US Supreme Court, young Republicans at the school were ebullient, creating a Facebook event page called “Beers4Brett” and planning to meet at Shultzy’s to celebrate Brett Kavanaugh’s ascension to the bench.

However, Facebook’s notification system sent a message to the administrator’s of Shultzy’s official page, since it was “tagged” in the post so that directions would be included to the event. That’s when the “U-Dub” College Republicans’ plans got derailed. The bar sent a message to the event page:

Loading...

Shultzy’s is a sports-themed bar & grill that welcomes everyone. We do not promote or endorse any one religious or political viewpoint. As such, due to the political nature of your planned event, we request that you find another venue to celebrate.”

Easy enough, right? Not for the U-Dublicans, it turns out. They lawyered up, according to local CBS affiliate KIRO-7, and threatened to sue the bar under the protection that Seattle affords political groups as a protected class.

Of course, if the bar could prove that they’d never hosted anyone who announced that their gathering was political, the lawsuit would be without merit, since it wouldn’t be discrimination.

But it just goes to show that even when Republicans are winning, they’re still angry. Take the article that appeared in The Federalist shortly after Kavanaugh’s confirmation:

That also would be an amazing lawsuit to watch Republicans lose. Just the discovery process alone would require more of an investigation than Trump and the GOP would allow, for fear that their predator pal Brett Kavanaugh would be caught lying to the FBI.
