Trump Backs Out Of NAACP Convention Appearance After Racist Tweets

He doesn't have the guts to face a room full of black people.

Evidently, Donald Trump is only comfortable spewing his hateful, racist rhetoric from the safety of his beloved Twitter account or to a room full of his equally racist and hateful MAGA supporters. But when it comes to a room full of black people, the Trumpster is no longer so brave or vocal.

Donald was more than happy to launch racist attack after racist attack against four Congresswomen of color as well as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi when he was in good company. But he doesn’t seem to be so comfortable with reiterating what we can only assume is his new 2020 campaign slogan to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) — and we’re going to go out on a limb here and guess that that’s why he’s he just can’t make it to his appearance at the NAACP Convention.

The 110 Annual NAACP convention takes place in Detroit from July 20-23 this year, but according to Fox 2 Detroit, Trump really did mean to show up, but he supposedly just can’t due to the date changes and the format that was agreed upon.

Donald has gone on to say that he’ll agree to deliver a speech at the event but refuses to engage in any Q&A discussions — Gee, we can’t imagine why he wouldn’t want to answer any questions or be confronted in any way by a large group of black people.

In regards to speaking at the NAACP Convention Trump stated, “I very much wanted to go. Unfortunately, they want to do it in the form of a question and answer.”

NAACP Detroit Branch President, Rev. Wendell Anthony expressed to Fox 2 Detroit just how big a mistake Donald is making by refusing to show at the convention.

“There is a format every candidate has said that he or she would be glad to participate in. It’s beyond us as to why that would be of some discomfort for the president.”

The NAACP has always been open to sitting presidents from either political party participating in their convention, and Anthony expressed that he feels the president should be willing to accept and answer questions from the citizens he’s governing.

“We have a right to question our presidents and ask the leader of the free world what our future will be,” Anthony stated.

This is a typical, narcissistic Trump move if ever there were one. The man can’t stand to be challenged or confronted and instead prefers to stay in his safe space where everyone agrees with and even reveres his racism.
