Just how far is he going to take this cover-up?

We’ve known from the very start that Bill Barr resides in the pocket of Donald Trump. He’s made that very clear from the moment he took the position as Attorney General — a position that Trump himself lifted Barr into against the popular vote.

Throughout his time as Attorney General, Barr has proclaimed his disdain for the investigation against Trump and has made it clear through his 4-page summary that he intends to help Trump cover up his Russia scandal in every way possible. He is continuing his rhetoric today as he testified before Congress regarding the Mueller report and his unwillingness to release it in its entirety.

Today, CNN Senior Justice Correspondent Evan Pérez said that Barr is neck deep in a political game regarding his responses to Congress and their questions about redactions to Special Counsel Mueller’s report. Pérez stated that Barr was “wrapping his hands” around Mueller in an attempt to display a “united front” that doesn’t actually exist.

Speaking on Attorney General Bill Barr’s redactions Pérez stated, “Bill Barr felt that pressure even before he came back to the Justice Department to take the reins as attorney general. We know that Rod Rosenstein from his own public comments has been suggesting that there should be less information in this, whatever is released.”

Bill Barr claimed during questioning today that he offered Mueller a chance to read over his 4-page summary before its release, but that Special Counsel declined — something that the Senior Justice Correspondent claims is “interesting.”

“Why I find it interesting is that Bill Barr so far, politically, has been trying to play a game of wrapping his hands around Robert Mueller, around Rod Rosenstein, sort of locking arms, saying they have a unified front,” Pérez stated. “We know, obviously, from our own reporting and from reporting from the New York Times that there is some dissatisfaction among members of the Mueller team about how this report so far has been characterized.”

“It will be interesting to see whether members of Congress can maybe shine a little bit more daylight into that aspect of what’s going on behind the scenes,” Pérez ended.

Bill Barr is at a point now where everyone around him knows what he’s attempting to pull — and quite frankly, the jig is up. Your cover-up has failed.
