White House In A Panic After Kavanaugh Accuser Is Willing To Testify, Gives Horrible Response

This is completely unacceptable.

The White House is in absolute panic mode after it was revealed early on Monday that Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who has accused Trump’s Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault when the two were younger, is willing to testify and willing “to do whatever it takes to get her story forth.”

After days of reluctance by Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee to even look twice at the assault, Ford, who was outed only after she had made the difficult decision not to come forward with her story, has now elected to forfeit her privacy in exchange for making sure that the GOP doesn’t rush to put someone on the nation’s highest court who definitely doesn’t belong there.

As with most old white men after the allegations came to light, Republicans demanded to know why she hadn’t “come forward before” with her accusation, although at this point in the process Ford has passed a polygraph about her statements, sent the letter to her Congresswoman months in advance of the official announcement of Kavanaugh as the nominee, and is on record as having told her therapist about it years ago.

The White House, desperate to retain their only choice for the Supreme Court who is on record as a solid conservative who also believes the President cannot be indicted, and desperate to get him through the process before the midterms in advance of a widely-expected wave election for Democrats, issued a statement that reads like the defense attorney for an accused rapist:

On Friday, Judge Kavanaugh ‘categorically and unequivocally’ denied this allegation. This has not changed. Judge Kavanaugh and the White House both stand by that statement.”

We are not, at this point, clear on why the White House is acting as defense for Kavanaugh other than if reporters were asking whether Trump was considering rescinding the nomination altogether over the allegations. White House spokeswoman Kerri Kupec, however, offered the prepared statement without ever having been asked.

It looks an awful lot like Trump’s White House, much like in the case of wife-beater Rob Porter, is prepared to defend the indefensible.
