Donald Trump has once again completely derailed his administration as his staff members were forced to abandon their duties and respond to a fire he created.
Earlier today, Trump announced on Twitter that he was withdrawing sanctions from North Korea — even though it had just been announced by his administration yesterday that they were adding sanctions. Trump tweeted:
It was announced today by the U.S. Treasury that additional large scale Sanctions would be added to those already existing Sanctions on North Korea. I have today ordered the withdrawal of those additional Sanctions!”

We all know that the president has no idea what the hell is going on inside his own White House, the government, or the country as a whole but it’s always crazy to see just how little the president is actually paying attention. CNN White House correspondent Abby Phillip pointed out this discrepancy and said, “Treasury announced sanctions on two Chinese companies for helping North Korea evade sanctions YESTERDAY.”
To state the obvious: Seems POTUS is pulling back sanctions that were just announced by his own administration. We’re trying to ask the administration what this means, but Treasury announced sanctions on two Chinese companies for helping North Korea evade sanctions YESTERDAY. https://t.co/bV7CoRsL0l

ABC News White House correspondent Karen Travers reported that press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders felt pressured to issue a statement about Trump’s day-late announcement and the immediate withdrawal of the sanctions. Apparently, the best thing she could come up with was this:
President Trump likes Chairman Kim and he doesn’t think these sanctions will be necessary.”
And here is the explanation from the White House:
