Despite the fact that all of the ceremonies for the 100th Anniversary of Armistice Day took place among world leaders gathered in France over the weekend, the actual day that we celebrate Veterans’ Day here in the United States — in order for it to be a proper federal holiday you get off from work — is the Monday following November 11th, provided the 11th falls on a Sunday.
So what is Donald Trump doing in honor of Veterans’ Day? After all, he is now back home in the United States, and it’s only fitting that he follow proper traditions and customs and perhaps attend, say, the service at Arlington National Cemetery. Or, uh, something, anyway.
