Over the last several days, the incident between the MAGA hat wearing Covington Catholic boys and a Native American elder has dominated the news and served as proof of the racist, ignorant attitudes of Donald Trump’s fanbase. To add another layer of horror to the news coverage, it’s just been reported that Trump’s top White House attorney, Pat Cipollone, was one of the high school’s top graduates. And the sad part is, no one will be surprised by that.
Pat Cipollone, who was part of CovCath class of 1984, has recently stepped into the role of White House general counsel, having previously been an informal counsel to Trump. Considering that the president’s administration is full of ignorant white people who feel entitled and superior to people of color, it’s safe to say that Cipollone fits right in.
This makes the Trump administration look worse than ever, as the president continues to defend and have connections to racist incidents around the country. To make matters even worse for himself, the president has been defending the CovCath students over the last few days — and now that we know that Cipollone has ties to the school, perhaps it was Cipollone who advised Trump to speak on the incident.
Nick Sandmann and the students of Covington have become symbols of Fake News and how evil it can be. They have captivated the attention of the world, and I know they will use it for the good – maybe even to bring people together. It started off unpleasant, but can end in a dream!

Looking like Nick Sandman & Covington Catholic students were treated unfairly with early judgements proving out to be false – smeared by media. Not good, but making big comeback! “New footage shows that media was wrong about teen’s encounter with Native American” @TuckerCarlson

Once again, the president and his administration refuse to denounce white supremacy.
