It’s hard being the president of any country. It’s even harder to be a president in a country with a free press. It’s a wonderful thing to have a free press; however, it means you’re held accountable for your actions. It’s especially hard to be president when you’ve committed something like, you know, treason when you asked for dirt on your possible opponent in an upcoming presidential election.
Just sayin’.
What’s great about that, though, is that Trump has always lived a life of luxury. At some point, he’s got to be tired of all the bullshit (even if he brought it on himself). When you look at photographs of a president as they age, you can see that it obviously takes a toll on them. Obama came out of his presidency much grayer than when he entered.
Is it unreasonable to think Trump could just decide to throw in the towel and refuse to run for reelection? One person close to Trump believes it’s possible.
During an interview, Trump’s former wife, Ivana, was asked if she believed Trump would run for reelection. Her answer was surprising; however, it gives us all a little hope that the bullshit may end in 2020.
She remarked:
I tell you, I think he’s missing a little bit of his old life. You know, he was in Trump Tower, and he would go to Mar-a-Lago. He would go to play golf on Westchester and things like that. Now, from eight o’clock in the morning to midnight, he’s working, working, working, and everybody shoves at him the problem of the country. I don’t envy him. I think he must be freaking exhausted. I would be too!”
She also hinted that Trump may have possibly let it slip to her that he actually is tired of the presidential life. Despite the divorce, they still talk.
Trump’s a stubborn man and won’t do anything he doesn’t want to do. However, if he could somehow be reminded of his former life — a life full of golf, Big Macs, porn stars, and not committing treason and then getting caught — maybe, just maybe, he would decide he was done playing president.
