Donald Trump has made it a habit to single out African American athletes and attack them — and yet he still expects America to believe he isn’t racist. Last night, Trump was upset over the fact that yet another black professional athlete has upstaged him by doing more to help America than he has, and decided to throw a temper tantrum on Twitter about it.
Nearing midnight, Trump took out his phone and decided to attack legendary NBA player LeBron James (along with a dig at CNN’s Don Lemon). It’s not a coincidence that both men are black. Trump insulted the intelligence of both men, and then tried to make James upset by saying “I like Mike!” — referring, of course, to famed NBA player Michael Jordan. Trump whined:
Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!

Trump was obviously set off by the fact that James had just had a ton of great press coverage following the announcement of an elementary school he was opening to benefit at-risk youth. Speaking to Lemon on Monday, James touted how the LeBron James Family Foundation was working with Akron Public Schools to provide free necessities and education to children and families in need.
During the interview, James also criticized the president for “using sports to kinda divide us,” referencing Trump’s attacks on players who have peacefully protested against racial injustice and police brutality. James said:
Sports has never been something that divides people. It’s always been something that brings someone together.”
Trump obviously couldn’t handle the truth or the fact that a black man is succeeding — so he attacked. He would soon regret it as America came to James’ defense and reminded Trump that he is a clown. You can see some of the most brutal responses below:
This is apparently what the President of the United States feels the need to share with the world at what should be long past his bedtime? It’s a disgrace. It’s racist. And it’s the product of petty but dangerous hatreds. I repeat this is the PRESIDENT??!? https://t.co/MA8nZUxFc7

Lebron is one of the all time greatest NBA players, who came from nothing and is giving everything to provide free education for low income kids. He spoke eloquently about how it hurts him to see Trump use sports to divide us. And, then the president calls him “dumb.” Painful.

So Trump finally went at LeBron, huh? Shocked it took this long. Not shocked it happened during a week where LeBron literally opened a school for at-risk kids.

LeBron puts children through school.
Trump puts children in cages.

Trump has repeatedly singled out and attacked countless black athletes exclusively.
Ranging from Stephen Curry, LaVar Ball, LeBron James, and Muhammad Ali to Colin Kaepernick, Marshawn Lynch and more.
Coincidence? Nah.
