Donald Trump recently announced that he was ready to aggressively campaign for vulnerable Republicans in order to save the GOP from getting crushed by Democrats in the midterm elections. Based on Trump’s past history of campaigning, two things are for certain:
- He’s probably going to disappoint Republicans.
- Violence, drama, and discrimination will run rampant.
It’s worth remembering one of Trump’s most disgusting campaigning moments, as we prepare for the sh*tshow that is about to ensue as we get closer to midterms. No one should forget that Trump is infamous for inciting violence, getting his supporters to turn against others, and throwing people out of his rallies. As Trump’s aggression knows no bounds, the president will even go after the most innocent, defenseless people.
In 2016, a 12-year old boy with cerebral palsy was not only harassed, but thrown out of a Trump rally in Tampa, Florida. JJ Holmes attended the rally with his mother to peacefully protest against the president for his insensitivity in mocking a reporter with disabilities. What Trump did was absolutely horrific. The president threw JJ and his mother Alison out of the rally and turned his supporters on him. Trump’s supporters not only started getting physically aggressive with the young boy, but they were chanting “U-S-A.” Alison told The Washington Post that Trump’s supporters were “pushing his wheelchair” and kicking it. She said:
We were put out by security. Mr. Trump kept saying, ‘Get them out.’”
J.J., with the aid of a computer vocalization device, voiced his feelings on the experience:
I hate Donald Trump. I hate Donald Trump.”
This is just as bad as it sounds. It’s no exaggeration. Here’s a video clip of what our current POTUS and his followers did to this boy:

Fortunately, this terrible situation was made right by a real President, then-POTUS Barack Obama. When Obama heard about the incident, the compassionate president spent the afternoon with JJ to make it up to him. This moment went viral because it showed everything that a true president should be — something Trump could never live up to:

America needs compassion and someone who will be everyone’s president, even the most vulnerable. Trump only cares about his rich buddies and white supremacist fanbase. If Trump is going to pull this nonsense again when he campaigns, we’ll have to count on our nation’s Democrats to clean up the mess — again.
