America has been absolutely rocked with fraud and scandals thanks to Donald Trump and his corrupt administration, with Russian meddling being at the top of the list. As more evidence is discovered about how Russia interfered with our election and its ties to the Trump campaign, Americans are growing increasingly concerned about the security of our future elections.

Trump, of course, is continuing to ignore it.

Trump had a national security meeting about the election recently, and an official statement was recently released by White House Press Secretary for the president. But there’s something very peculiar about it — Russia, America’s biggest security threat, isn’t even mentioned! Here’s the statement from Huckabee Sanders:

Today, President Donald J. Trump chaired a meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) to receive updates on the whole-of-government approach his Administration is implementing to safeguard our Nation’s elections. This effort was put in motion at the beginning of his Administration and has been carried out to support State and local election officials in all 50 States, the Territories, and the District of Columbia.”

In part of the statement, it appeared that Trump attempted to “talk tough” about election meddling, but couldn’t actually bring himself to condemn his buddy Vladimir Putin:

The President has made it clear that his Administration will not tolerate foreign interference in our elections from any nation state or other malicious actors.”

“The President’s discussion with his NSC addressed threats posed to our elections from malign foreign actors, efforts underway to provide cybersecurity assistance to State and local authorities, and actions to investigate, prosecute, and hold accountable those who illegally attempt to interfere in our political and electoral processes. The Trump Administration will continue to provide the support necessary to the owners of elections systems – State and local governments – to secure their elections.”

How can the president release a statement about national security without specifically mentioning the country that actually attacked our election and continues to be our biggest threat? Trump continues to flirt with Russia and refuses to stand up to Putin.

Just to show you how little Trump cares about national security, this meeting reportedly didn’t even last a whole 30 minutes! America is at the bottom of Trump’s list — all he cares about is furthering himself and exploiting his presidency to feed his ego and line his pockets.
