Trump Refused To Invite Democratic Co-Sponsor To 9/11 Bill Signing

This is so Trump.

Donald Trump is known for a lot of things and quite frankly, none of them are the least bit flattering. He’s known for his racism, his bigotry, his immaturity, and his bullying tactics along with a slew of other lack-luster “qualities.” But today he really harped on one of his biggest downfalls — his pettiness.

Trump finally signed a bill into effect today that secured funding for the victims of 9/11. However, Donald is still big mad at the Democrats and he wants to ensure that they know it. So, as a result of his pettiness and astounding ability to hold an immature grudge better than anyone else on the face of this Earth, Trump refused to invite any members of his opponent political party to the signing ceremony — including the co-sponsor of the bill.

One White House official spoke to the print pool reporter and claimed that all members of Congress were extended an invitation to the event which took place in the Rose Garden. However, the New York Democrat’s office informed CBS News that Rep. Carolyn Maloney, who served as the lead co-sponsor of the 9/11 Victims Fund, “did not receive an invite to today’s bill signing nor did a staff member receive one on her behalf.”

Maloney has been a staunch supporter of the 9/11 Victims Fund — meant to provide financial assistance to first responders as well as survivors of 9/11 to help cover the cost of their healthcare bills — from the very beginning.

The Democrat has donned an FDNY firefighter’s jacket since February and pledged to never take it off until the bill was passed and victims of the 9/11 tragedy as well as their families were given what they rightfully deserved — even going so far as wearing the heavy garment to this year’s Met Gala in New York City.

“I do not intend to take it off until we pass this bill,” Maloney stated.

However, she did not receive the pleasure of seeing the bill she worked so hard for signed into effect. In fact, not a single Democrat was present at the signing ceremony, though eight other Congress members were there, including Maloney’s Republican collaborator, Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.). All because Donald Trump is a petty, petulant child.
