Today, Donald Trump made an extremely pathetic attempt to save his presidency by making an impromptu visit to the troops in Iraq with First Lady Melania Trump, after several days of horrific press coverage made things too unbearable for the egotistical POTUS to tolerate.
Everyone knows that Trump doesn’t give a sh*t about the troops, and was clearly doing this out of being shamed and ridiculed for it nonstop, especially since it’s been a tradition for presidents to visit the troops for Christmas. No one believes that Trump actually made this trip because he wanted to. He’s merely trying to make up for the fact that he’s gone two years in the White House without even visiting a combat zone (which is far different from his more courageous predecessors), and the fact that his partial government shutdown is being blasted by both Democrats and Republicans.
Needless to say, Trump got his a*s handed to him on Twitter:

Some suspected that Trump was doing something far more sinister than merely trying to save face, as it’s being reported that Trump used his presidency to sell some extremely expensive tickets for a New Year’s Eve party at his Mar-a-Lago resort:
ATTENTION JOURNALISTS:
If Trump is secretly en route to visit troops, ask if he will be returning to DC or FL.
The trip will be cover to get to Mar-a-Lago NYE party where tickets were sold guaranteeing access to the president.
He would be using the troops as a distraction.
