War hero and Senator John McCain passed away last year after a difficult battle with brain cancer, and Donald Trump still has yet to give him the respect he deserves. As if attacking the highly respected Republican while he was sick and disrespecting him in the days after his death was not enough, the president is continuing a literally one-sided battle against McCain and it’s pissing everyone off.
Today, Trump once again attack McCain on Twitter, resurrecting his imaginary fight with the Senator. In a humiliating tweet, the president criticized McCain for his vote against a repeal of Obamacare’s individual mandate. In doing so, Trump used a quote from former independent counsel Ken Starr, who had spoken on reports that an associate of McCain’s had passed the Steele dossier about Trump to the media.
Starr had stated that if those reports were true, it would be “a very dark stain” on McCain’s legacy. Trump latched onto that and in his tweet, he stated that McCain “had far worse ‘stains’ than this, including thumbs down on repeal and replace after years of campaigning to repeal and replace!” He tweeted:
Spreading the fake and totally discredited Dossier ‘is unfortunately a very dark stain against John McCain.’ Ken Starr, Former Independent Counsel. He had far worse ‘stains’ than this, including thumbs down on repeal and replace after years of campaigning to repeal and replace!”

Let’s just say that America is fed up with this behavior from Trump — and promptly put him in his place, reminding him that he will never measure up to McCain. Here are just a few of the tweets that made Trump regret his Twitter habit:
Still with McCain you arrogant coward. You are not fit to shine his low quarters, you spineless, yellow bellied fraud

John McCain was a great man; and you’re not worthy to speak his name.

You’re completely obsessed with McCain because you’ll never be half the man he was.
Let that insecurity go. You’re not fit to shine John McCain’s shoes.

You need help! The man is dead. Let him Rest In Peace!
