The President’s hypocrisy was on full display this morning as he criticized Nancy Pelosi for something that she didn’t actually do — but which he himself DID do, just days ago.
After Pelosi’s comments about wanting to see Trump “in prison” were leaked to the press — and let’s face it, it was only a matter of time, given how hungry America is to take her temperature on the prospect of impeachment — Trump tried and failed to characterize her statement as improper due to the unspoken rule that we don’t criticize other Americans while we or they are out of the country:
Nervous Nancy Pelosi is a disgrace to herself and her family for having made such a disgusting statement, especially since I was with foreign leaders overseas. There is no evidence for such a thing to have been said. Nervous Nancy & Dems are getting Zero work done in Congress….

Of course, Pelosi’s comments were made in private. That’s something entirely different than, say, publicly tweeting insults about a candidate for President while Trump was supposed to be focusing on his visit to England…

That’s par for the course for Doublespeak Donnie, however — do as I say, not as I do.
The most galling part of it, though, is the fact that not only was it a false equivalency, but Nancy actually went out of her way not to do what he’s accusing her of, refusing to say anything negative publicly about him just yesterday:
