As it turns out, Meghan McCain’s blast of Donald Trump all over social media and TV turned out to be pointless, as we pretty much all expected, because 45 evidently just doesn’t know when to quit.
Over the past few days, Trump has seemed to make it his life’s mission to make a mockery out of late Senator John McCain. Apparently, he has nothing better to do than throw cheap shots at a man that literally can’t defend himself. Someone really ought to send him a memo reminding him that McCain passed away last year.
After a series of rude and downright petty tweets, McCain’s daughter, Meghan, came after Donald in just about every way she could think of. But it doesn’t seem to have put a damper on Trump’s disrespect of the deceased.
This morning, Trump sat in a meeting with the Brazillian president and proceeded to bash the late senator yet again. In the video, covered my MSNBC, Trump quickly takes to trashing McCain over his refusal of Repeal and Replace. When POTUS was asked, “Why are you attacking Senator John McCain seven months after his death?” Donnie quickly started pitching a fit. Stating that he’s still “very unhappy that he didn’t Repeal and Replace Obamacare…”
He then went on to whine about the fact that McCain had “campaigned on repealing and replacing Obamacare for years and then he got to a vote and said thumbs down.” He continued groaning on about how the country would’ve “saved a trillion dollars and had great healthcare” if McCain had just allowed Trump to bully him into a positive vote the way he wanted to.
Trump basically put the entire loss on the shoulders of McCain, stating that “he told us hours before that he was going to repeal and replace,” and Donald feels that they lost the opportunity to bully a different voter because McCain essentially tricked him.
He wrapped things up by calling McCain “disgraceful” and saying, “I was never a fan of John McCain and I never will be.”
It’s clear that Trump is a huge fan of the easiest targets because let’s face it, it doesn’t get any easier than a dead guy.
We’re sure that Meghan will have something to say about this soon — but we don’t expect it to do any good.
