Now that the midterm elections are right around the corner, President Donald Trump is getting REALLY nervous and is starting to fall apart. Fully aware that the Republican Party is in deep trouble after spending last two years screwing up, a blue wave is likely going to be the result after November, and that means Trump’s presidency is in jeopardy.
In order to protect himself, it’s starting to sound like Trump will do anything — especially after his tweets accusing early voters of “voting fraud” and sending the threat “cheat at your own peril.” In response, New York Times columnist Paul Krugman translated Trump’s threats and predicted how the president might react if Republicans lose the midterms.
In several tweets, Krugman sent America a shocking message that Trump will not only claim election fraud, but he will resort to illegal acts to save his presidency if Democrats take the House. The Nobel Prize-winning economist wrote:
If Democrats don’t at least take the House, God help us. But even if they do, we’ll be facing a nightmarish political scene. Republicans will claim that the election was stolen, and deny the majority’s legitimacy.”
Krugman also brought up that Trump appointee VA Secretary Robert Wilkie has refused to turn over documents to Congress, which is a preview of what could come next:
Democrats will gain subpoena power — but expect the Trump administration to simply defy requests for information, the way they already are on issues like the Mar a Lago crowd’s influence on the Veterans Administration. They’ll also probably abuse executive power in many other ways. And they’ll use claims of voter fraud to justify their disregard of the law and Constitution. If you don’t think this is going to happen, you haven’t been paying attention.”
This came with a major warning:
In the very near future, many government officials will probably face hard decisions about whether to defy illegal orders from their political superiors. And remember, this is the good scenario.”

As we’ve seen throughout his presidency, Trump will do anything to win. This bleak prediction perfectly demonstrates why Trump is so dangerous.
