President Donald Trump got slammed enough by the media for his disgusting praise of racist General Robert E. Lee during a recent rally in Ohio. On national television, Trump infuriated Americans all over the country as he praised Lee’s military skills and said he was a “true great fighter and a great general.”

But Trump is getting bashed for this by someone that will truly hit home — one of Lee’s own descendants. Robert Lee IV, the great-great-great-great nephew of the general, has just called Trump out on Twitter. Lee IV called Trump out for praising an “idol of white supremacy and hatred” in a brilliant video that is making its rounds all over the internet. Lee IV, making sure everyone knew Trump was praising a racist, said:

Last night I was disheartened to hear Donald Trump, our president, make comments about Robert E. Lee as a great general, as an honorable man. These were far from the truth.

Robert E. Lee fought for the continued enslavement of black bodies. It was for state’s rights, yes, but it was for state’s rights to own slaves.”

Lee IV also said he was “saddened by the state of our nation” because of Trump, but was hopeful for the elections. He said:

But I’m encouraged because we are going to work to end this. We are going to vote. We are going to show Donald Trump that white supremacy has no place in … our government. We are going to show him who the people are and what really matters in this nation.”

You can watch this brilliant video below:

And as expected, Trump is having a temper tantrum about being held accountable for his words:

NBC News has totally and purposely changed the point and meaning of my story about General Robert E Lee and General Ulysses Grant. Was actually a shoutout to warrior Grant and the great state in which he was born. As usual, dishonest reporting. Even mainstream media embarrassed!”
