America is being kept in the dark about what actually went on between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump during their meetings in Helsinki. As the two leaders met behind closed doors without the presence of government aides, Trump has continued to be secretive about what was actually discussed, even though Russia seems to be completely aware of what’s going on.
Recently, the Russian Defense Ministry sounded the alarm about “agreements” on global security that were to be implemented. This comes as quite a shock to Americans, who have barely heard anything on this subject:

That tweet pointed to a longer Facebook post, which explained:
The Russian Defense Ministry is ready for the practical implementation of agreements in the area of global security reached in Helsinki between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, the ministry’s spokesman, Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov, told reporters on Tuesday.
The spokesman specified that the Russian military was “ready to intensify contacts with American colleagues at the level of the General Staffs and through other available channels of communication to discuss the extension of the START treaty, the interaction in Syria, and other topical issues of military security.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin attended his first face-to-face meeting with US President Donald Trump in the Finnish capital of Helsinki. The two parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations along with pressing issues on the international agenda.”

While America’s media coverage has mostly been dominated by reports of how badly Trump screwed up in his meeting with Putin and failed to stand up to the country that meddled in America’s election, we haven’t heard anything about this until now — and we’re hearing about it from Russia. Yesterday, Trump spoke at length about how he “misspoke” when he defended Russia during his press conference with Putin, yet he hasn’t uttered a word about this. Americans should know about what their president is doing — especially when it comes to countries who have interfered in our election! Trump, however, obviously feels differently.
