It’s obvious that Donald Trump tries to bully and use his anger to push his agenda through and have his way. Although this usually backfires and turns off other world leaders, Trump still hasn’t learned — and other members of his administration have tried to follow his lead.
Now that United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley is leaving the White House, she confessed to using Trump’s mental instability to manipulate the U.N. in order to “get the job done,” using the president’s insanity as a bargaining tool to “keep him from going too far.” Haley said:
He would ratchet up the rhetoric, and then I’d go back to the ambassadors and say: ‘You know, he’s pretty upset. I can’t promise you what he’s going to do or not, but I can tell you if we do these sanctions, it will keep him from going too far.'”
She confessed to trying to play “good cop bad cop” when it came to Trump’s outbursts. She said:
I was trying to get the job done. And I got the job done by being truthful, but also by letting him be unpredictable and not showing our cards.”
Haley also commented on the president’s ridiculous Twitter remarks. Making the president seem more like a reality tv star than ever, she said:
I’m disciplined enough to know not to get into the drama.”
Proving that she is telling all now that she is departing the Trump administration, Haley also branched off from Trump in her stance on Saudi government’s killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. While Trump has been soft and understanding of the Saudis’ denials, Haley said:
I think we need to have a serious hard talk with the Saudis to let them know we won’t condone this, and don’t do this again.”
She also commented on Jared Kushner’s relationship with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, making Trump’s son-in-law look terrible. She said:
We have relationships with lots of countries, and our goal is to make those relationships better. But when these things happen, we have to step back and never back away from our principles.”
Now that Haley has nothing to lose, she’s letting it all hang out. Trump should be terrified because this sounds like Haley is about to be the next former administration member with a tell-all book.
