Nike’s recent unveiling of its new advertising campaign, which features controversial NFL player Colin Kaepernick, has set Donald Trump off again. Trump is back at it again, attacking Kaepernick and any other NFL player who dares to kneel during the National Anthem in peaceful protest against racism in America.
Trump has tried his best to make it harder for NFL players to protest white supremacy. He has tried to enforce new rules in the NFL, and has even tried to make people boycott football by trashing the NFL and its ratings. However, no matter what Trump does, America’s football players have shown him time and time again that they will not be bullied or told what to do by a baby hiding inside an old man’s body.
Football season just started, but the players are already taking a stand against Trump. Just a few days ago, the we saw the first players kneeling during the National Anthem. But NFL players have been lashing out at Trump for a while, and sometimes it’s not even been about racism.
Earlier this year when Trump and the GOP refused to do anything about gun control despite the many mass shootings claiming the lives of children, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft sent a powerful statement to the president. Kraft flew students and all the families of the 17 Parkland shooting victims to Washington D.C. for the “March for Our Lives” rally – on the team plane!

This was a major ‘f*ck you’ to Trump, who has had a good relationship with Kraft up until this point. Kraft used this moment to tell the president that his team would stand by the students and support gun control.
As Trump ramps up his attacks against football players and the NFL this season, we’re sure to see even more clever protests against the president.
