After constantly obsessing and demonizing the emails of 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, the Republican Party has just been dealt a tough blow of embarrassment thanks to Donald Trump and his family.

It turns out that Ivanka Trump, who has no political experience whatsoever but is still allowed to work in the White House, has just been exposed for sending literally HUNDREDS of emails in 2017 to White House aides, Cabinet officials, and her assistants – using her personal email account. In doing so, Ivanka has violated federal records rules.

White House ethics officials became aware of Ivanka’s use of her personal email as they reviewed emails gathered by five Cabinet agencies for a public records lawsuit. This data collection and review showed that Ivanka had spent most of 2017 discussing official White House business through her own private email account, which belongs to a domain she and her husband Jared Kushner share.

As you can imagine, Trump’s advisors were horrified to hear about this, considering how much fuss Hillary Clinton’s personal email use caused and how Trump had made that the focus of his 2016 campaign. Dubbing Clinton “Crooked Hillary”, this definitely doesn’t look good for the Tweeter in Chief.

When Ivanka was questioned about why there were so many personal emails being used for work purposes, Ivanka couldn’t help but confess how incompetent she was. She said she wasn’t aware of the rules surrounding email use. Let’s not forget that when Ivanka came onto the White House, she had pledged to comply “with all ethics rules” to silence concerns about her role in the White House. Now, it looks like she didn’t take that very seriously.

We would love to see the reactions from Trump and the Republican Party now, considering that they have an email scandal of their own.
