After several days of some very unhinged, nervous tweets, the President of the United States ended the week with one of his most irresponsible, ridiculous posts on social media. Late last night, Donald Trump threatened Iran in a starling all-caps tweet which could not be any more embarrassing for Americans.
Just hours after Iranian President Hassan Rouhani warned Trump that hostility against Tehran could result in the “mother of all wars,” Trump decided to play with fire as he tweeted directly to Rouhani:
To Iranian President Rouhani: NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!”

Interestingly enough, Trump likely thought that he’d be able to directly hit back at Rouhani, but he is mistaken — Twitter is actually blocked in Iran. If Trump wants to keep sending messages to Rouhani, he will have to act like a big boy and actually go through the presidential protocol.
Iran has already responded to Trump’s ridiculous antics, with a senior commander of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards stating that:
We will never abandon our revolutionary beliefs … we will resist pressure from enemies… America wants nothing less than (to) destroy Iran … (but) Trump cannot do a damn thing against Iran.”
Trump’s unhinged behavior is exactly why he’s so dangerous. He repeatedly pushes the envelope and ignores warnings from other world leaders, putting the U.S. in danger. Trump’s Twitter account has become one of the biggest dangers to America.
