Donald Trump’s White House has been shooting down congressional subpoenas left and right, demanding that everyone who was issued one just ignore it at the risk of being held in contempt and jailed — which let’s face it, is a painfully obvious indicator that he’s desperate to hide something. But at least one former Trump aide isn’t interested in sitting in a jail cell for defying a subpoena from Congress just to save a little Trump skin.
Despite instructions from the White House to ignore the subpoena issued to her by the House Oversight Committee, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Jerry Nadler, confirmed that former Trump aide Hope Hicks has turned over at least some of the documents requested by the committee in the subpoena.
Judiciary Committee chairman Nadler says White House instructed former aides Hope Hicks* and Annie Donaldson not to turn over records in response to subpoenas issued last month. Hicks did agree to turn over some documents related to her time on the campaign.

According to a report from Politico, the White House strictly instructed both Hicks, who stayed on with the president for some time after his 2016 presidential campaign, as well as former aide Annie Donaldson to defy the subpoenas issued by Congress and refuse to hand over any documents requested. But it seems that Hope Hicks is one of a few former members of Donald’s administration that don’t want to go down for his crimes.
Let’s just hope she’s not the only one with enough guts to do so.
